House Keeper

Responsibilities:

  • Give exceptional customer service and a smile to all guests and staff.
  • Clean all cabins, Base Camp, and motel rooms, including but not limited to: toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, ranges, dishes, refrigerators, furniture, beds, walls, floors and ceilings.
  • Clean all public restrooms, changing rooms, conference rooms, staff restrooms and offices, including but not limited to: toilets, sinks, showers, furniture, walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Work with other departments on any special requests, such as painting rooms, special cleaning requirements or moving furniture.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to complete daily tasks.
  • Notify Lead Housekeeper about supply and linen needs.
  • Report any maintenance items to Repair and Maintenance or to Lead Housekeeper.

Qualifications

  • Previous Housekeeping experience
  • Familiar with the Nantahala Outdoor Center
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and twist
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Dependable
  • Exceptional people skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
